basemaps

Geoserve provides current basemaps processed from newly acquired satellite images. These are spatially accurate, color-corrected, high-resolution basemaps that minimize the effects of cloud, haze, and other image variables.

Thanks to continuous worldwide image collections, the basemaps can be refreshed frequently to stay current.

global coverage

Various global basemaps are available with resolutions up to 1.5 meter globally and up to 30 cm for urbanized areas.

Off-the-shelf

Most basemaps have already been produced and are readily available for users. These maps are available in various map projections and file formats (including GeoTIFF and COG).

Tailored basemaps

Geoserve also creates in-house basemaps customized to meet the client’s specific needs. We then select satellite imagery and apply tailored processing techniques. For example we can incorporate external reference data – such GPS survey points – to enhance and validate the accuracy of the maps.

streaming

The basemaps are also available as streaming data, enabling seamless integration with your GIS application. Hosted on the Geoserve map server -with access via multiple protocols such as WM(T)S or XYZ tiles- you can view and utilize the basemap directly within your application while it remains securely stored at Geoserve in the Netherlands. This setup ensures maximum flexibility without the need for high-end hardware.
